The Lake Macquarie City Council has resolved to establish an external Board to deliver economic development activities that will support retention and growth of existing businesses, and attract more business to the City.
Director of Community Development, Morven Cameron, said this marks a new era for economic development activity in the City.
“We are calling for expressions of interest for the seven board member positions available,” Ms Cameron said. “Our economy is underpinned by diverse business sectors, unique town centres and a well educated workforce, and Board members will be chosen to reflect this diversity.”
A detailed information pack for business people passionate about contributing to the economic growth of our City is available at Council’s website. Alternatively, if you would like further information on becoming a founding member of the new Lake Macquarie Economic Development Board, please contact Morven Cameron on 4921 0289 or mcameron [at] lakemac [dot] nsw [dot] gov [dot] au
