HYP Appoints New Board for 2015

It’s full steam ahead for what is set to be an action packed year following the announcement of the 2015 board of directors for Hunter Young Professionals at our recent AGM in January. Some of the familiar faces behind a string of our successful events and professional development activities continue to be part of the group, along with some new recruits.

It is the second year running for an all-female HYP executive with Adel Issa from the University of Newcastle continuing her third term as President. Joining Adel is Emily Bowen from Forsythes Recruitment as Vice President, Alex Nicolaidis from Booksmart Accounting Solutions as Treasurer, and Hanna Barry from Forsythes Business Advisors in the role of Secretary.

“We have a very dynamic board for 2015 and I am really looking forward to an innovative and action-packed calendar of events” Adel said.

“HYP is looking to explore a number of new initiatives and build on our existing platforms as we provide unique networking and professional development opportunities to the ever growing community of young professionals throughout the Hunter area”.

Non-Executive Directors for 2015 include Matt Williams from JSA Financial Planning Group, Independent Marketing Consultant Bec Dujin, James Callender from H&M Accountants, Alyssa Faith from Avondale College of Higher Education, Josh Faulkner from Government Property NSW, along with newcomers Matthew Harland from SMEC Consulting Engineers, Georgia Marjoribanks from McCullough Robertson Lawyers, and Matt Clements from PwC.

This year also marks the 25th anniversary for HYP.

“25 years of providing opportunities for the Hunter’s young business community is a significant achievement; it is great to see our member and supporter base continuing to grow.” Adel said.

We are all looking forward to the year ahead and of course our 25th birthday celebrations.
