MEET OUR SPEAKERS
Sally is a passionate and meticulous Recruiter, with more than 24 years’ experience across a range of sectors, and over 12 years the Director and Co-founder of peoplefusion. Sally is an Accredited Professional Recruiter and has achieved Member status with the Recruitment & Consulting Services Association (RCSA). She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), mentors emerging and aspiring Recruitment leaders through the RCSA’s PEARL program, and has a Diploma of Workplace & Business Coaching. This valuable training has assisted Sally to support other leaders to break through barriers and achieve success, as well as supporting organisations and employees through workplace restructures and career transitioning programs respectively.
Sally works closely with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service across their entire business, recruiting technical, leadership and corporate services positions, to support their expanding team. She also partners with industry heavyweights Newcastle Permanent Building Society, Lifestyle Solutions, and Mine Super across a broad range of roles.
Diane is a passionate and pragmatic Human resources specialist with extensive commercial experience at the most senior level. After completing a Bachelor’s degree, majoring in HR and IR Diane cemented her HR career in some of Australia’s leading brands including Arnott’s Biscuits, Franklins and Woolworths.
After more than 10 years in the corporate world, Diane successfully owned and operated a boutique HR consultancy for 10 years where she honed her skills as an outsourced HR leader. In 2012 and after 10 years of consulting across multiple industries, Diane expanded and rebranded her business to Skildare which continues to earn a reputation as the foremost outsourced HR provider in the region, employing the very best HR professionals and cultivating a culture of excellence in all aspects of HR and client relations.
The success of Skildare has been achieved through the rare combination of HR expertise applied with pragmatism with ‘smart HR made simple’ being Diane’s mantra when assisting her valued clients. Also, the ability to mould ‘best practice’ HR into a personalised solution for unique cultures is a skill that Diane excels at and which she has made the essence of Skildare.
Christie is Solicitor Director, Employment and Litigation at Osborn Law and has practiced extensively in the constantly changing and ever challenging area of employment law for over 19 years. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Accounting) and has been qualified as a solicitor since 2000.
Christie works closely with clients on a range of employment law matters including drafting industrial documentation including common law employment contracts, subcontractor agreements and enterprise agreements; advising on compliance with the Fair Work Act 2009 and Modern Award compliance; Enterprise Agreement negotiations; termination in relation to unfair dismissal and general protections laws.
Christie also conducts in house training sessions for employers to assist clients and their managers on how to deal with effective performance management. In addition to the employment law work, Christie manages major commercial litigation disputes, particularly those in the Supreme Court of NSW but also in the District and Local Courts.
