Professor Will Riftkin – Director and Chair in Applied Economics, Hunter Research Foundation

Prof. Rifkin is the Director and Chair in Applied Economics at the Hunter Research Foundation. Prof. Rifkin offers specialist insight into the socioeconomics of the property market including boom and bust cycles. He holds degrees from MIT (physics), the University of California-Berkeley (energy and resources) and Stanford University (sociotechnical studies) and has produced more than 100 academic publications.

Scott has been involved with property finance and investment for over 30 years. After working for the State Bank of NSW in lending, business banking and business advising he started his own residential property financing business in 1995. A Fellow of the Financial Services Industry of Australia and member of the Property Investors Association of Australia, Scott also holds a Bachelor of Business Degree and a Diploma of Mortgage Lending.
