Prof. Rifkin is the Director and Chair in Applied Economics at the Hunter Research Foundation. He holds degrees from MIT (physics), the University of California-Berkeley (energy and resources) and Stanford University (sociotechnical studies) and has produced more than 100 academic publications.

A Fellow of the Financial Services Industry of Australia and member of the Property Investors Association of Australia, Scott also holds a Bachelor of Business Degree and a Diploma of Mortgage Lending.
