How do you manage your work/life balance?
I have always made work something I love to do. For years I have worked as a marine coxswain, scuba diving instructor and maritime trainer. This has allowed me to have a lot of fun in my role, and work with some pretty amazing people from all over the world.
I have also has more traditional office roles, but I make sure I have time to surf, dive, travel and spend time with my family and friends. I like to think of Newcastle as a lifestyle city, which is why I am so passionate about the people who live and work here
What three words best describe you?
Adventurous, Outgoing and Talkative
What is one thing you couldn’t live without?
What motivates and drives you?
Other people. I am an extrovert, and often thrive when I interact with lots of other people. Something I worked out very early in my career was that I wanted to work with customers each and every day, because I feel as though that is when I do my best work. CoastXP allows me to do this as I meet new and interesting people, each and every day, I love it!
How do you define success?
I believe success is defined by the legacy you leave behind. And not just the impact you have made on your career, but the impact you have left on others, your friends and family, and the community. Along with those you have helped along the way. This is when we become ‘successful’.
