HYP Director 2017
Venue Hire and Events Coordinator at Newcastle City Council
Moving to Newcastle at the age of three Stephanie has always called Newcastle home. After completing her HSC she moved to Sydney to study performing arts before enrolling in a combined degree in Event Management and International Studies at UTS. As part of this she spent a year in Spain studying as well as travelling throughout Europe.
Upon returning to Sydney she worked in a variety of events roles for the Peats Ridge Festival, Green Building Council of Australia and the Roundhouse at UNSW. After this 10-year stint living, studying and building a career in Sydney she decided to move back to Newcastle to be closer to family and enjoy the lifestyle the city has to offer.
Stephanie is now an accomplished Events Manager experienced in major music festivals, live performance, major sporting events and corporate conferences. She currently manages events across the seven cultural venues owned and operated by Newcastle City Council including Town Hall, Fort Scratchley and the Newcastle Museum, and recently managed the Events and Community Departments at the Newcastle Jets Football Club. She is also one subject away from completing her Masters of Business Law.
Stephanie appropriates her knowledge from a diverse number of industries to bring creative solutions to event management, sponsorship and communications. She is passionate about environmental sustainability and the performing arts and specialises in both when it comes to events. Her other passions involve puppies, cheese and wine, and her friends and family.
