Daniel was born and raised in the Hunter, graduating from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Commerce. His desire to understand what makes businesses tick later led to his qualification as a Chartered Accountant and additional studies in Business Restructuring, Turnaround Management, Insolvency and Bankruptcy law.
Daniel is also a professional member of the Australian Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround Association, current Secretary of the Hunter Local Committee of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, an Executive member of the committee for the Bean Counters Ball and a Justice of Peace in and for the state of NSW.
Now a Personal and Corporate Insolvency Manager at SV Partners, Daniel works alongside some of Newcastle’s most respected Insolvency Practitioners. He implements regulation and ensures compliance to the letter of the law, whilst also employing common sense, empathy and respect for all those involved in the process.
When he is not working, you will find him chasing around his two sons, rocking out on the piano, ‘trying’ to keep his lawn green, partaking in Monopoly arguments or learning other languages.
Daniel is excited about the new challenges that his position on the HYP board has presented thus far and looks forward to contributing further to the local Hunter community in 2021
