Thursday August 22nd marks a special milestone in the history of the NHJC… we are evolving and growing as group and to celebrate we are proud to announce that we will be now known as Hunter Young Professionals (HYP).

The name change symbolises the growth and expansion of the NHJC over the last several years. With a strong membership growth year upon year; it had become evident that the NJHC was an organisation that a wider audience wanted to be a part of moving forward. The board had laid the foundation for ‘a new generation’ and as a group it was decides to capitalise upon this growth by rebranding ‘who we are’.

With a new name, comes a new identity. An identity that represents who we are, encompasses our diverse membership backgrounds and signifies a new chapter of passion within the organisation.

The board went about the task of understanding the background, professions and trends within our membership database. It was evident there is still a substantial share of young professionals within the region who could benefit from and also add value to the NHJC. The board decided unanimously that a name and brand change would be a great platform for the next stage of taking our organisation to the next level.

The new name of Hunter Young Professionals (HYP) was chosen as an all-encompassing name that includes people from the wider Hunter region, defines that we are a young demographic in the market and illustrates that inclusion of all professions is welcomed. The organisational branding has been updated to launch itself into a new market but still ensures a legacy of the past is not forgotten. The circular logo highlights inclusion of members from all areas.  The colouring symbolises a harmonious environment and the triangles in the background provide reference to our networking with our organisation and the wider community. We believe the rebranding signifies an exciting new horizon for all Hunter Young Professionals and provides the framework for a new generation of leaders to emerge.

We are excited you are all here to join us on this journey!
